Debt Enforcement & Bankruptcy Law

Debt enforcement is comprehensively regulated on a federal level in the Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law (Schuldbetreibungs- und Konkursgesetz; SchKG). The SchKG as such only stipulates procedural rules and must therefore al-ways be examined in connection with a multitude of legal fields, also on a trans-national level. This allows us to specifically call in and deploy the relevant specialists from our respective practice areas according to the case at issue.

The provision of advice in the context of the SchKG is often linked to litigation. We furthermore ad-vise and represent creditors as well as debtors in reorganisation processes, financial restructurings, administration and bankruptcy proceedings (on a national and international level).
