Cyril Troyanov joined ALTENBURGER LTD legal + tax as of 1 January 2011 together with his team of Russian-speaking lawyers and assistants. He will head the firm's new Russian Team and will continue to work in close cooperation with Secretan Troyanov Schaer in Moscow, which he co-founded in 1992.

Cyril Troyanov's practice focuses on cross-border legal issues. He has gained extensive experience in providing legal services to companies and individuals, mainly from Russia as well as Central and Eastern Europe, advising them on approaches to doing business and investing in Western Europe. He also advises international clients on matters relating to corporate formation and operation, finance, banking, tax and business regulations.

Cyril Troyanov graduated from Geneva University School of Law in 1980. He attended one year of postgraduate studies at Vienna University School of Law and obtained his Masters degree in comparative law from New York University in 1985. He was admitted to the Geneva Bar in 1983 and to the New York Bar in 1986.

Before joining ALTENBURGER, Cyril Troyanov was a partner at Secretan Troyanov in Geneva, a recognized Swiss business law firm. Prior to that, he practiced law with Lenz Schluep Briner & De Coulon in Geneva, and with Kelley Drye & Warren in New York.

Cyril Troyanov is fluent in French, English, Russian and German.
