New partner Daniel Marugg, attorney at law, LL.M.

We are pleased to announce that Daniel Marugg, attorney at law, LL.M. joined our firm as a partner effective 1 January 2013.

Our new partner joined our Zurich office together with his team of litigation and arbitration specialists, the attorneys at law Anna Neukom Chaney and Julia Utzinger.

Daniel Marugg has extensive experience in national and international commercial litigation (in commercial and banking matters, company law, contract law, contract for work and mandate law), both before public courts and arbitration tribunals in Switzerland and abroad. Daniel Marugg is regularly appointed as arbitrator (as a chairman and/or co-arbitrator) in international and national arbitration proceedings. He furthermore represents clients in complex white-collar crime proceedings before penal courts and authorities.

Daniel Marugg graduated from the University of Bern law school and was admitted to the bar in 1991. In 1995, he gained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in European Business and International Trade Law from the Universiteit van Amsterdam.

Prior to joining ALTENBURGER LTD legal + tax, Daniel Marugg was a partner and head of litigation of Gloor & Sieger Attorneys at Law in Zurich. Daniel Marugg completed his court internships at the District Court of Interlaken and the Administrative Court of the Canton of Berne.
