Change of legal structure from a partnership to a corporation (LTD/SA/AG)

We are pleased to inform you that the ALTENBURGER law firm recently changed its legal structure from a simple partnership to a stock corporation (a "société anonyme" in French or an "Aktiengesellschaft" in German). This change is retroactive to January 1, 2009. The new corporate entity is named "ALTENBURGER LTD legal + tax".

This change will have no effect on the firm's clients, its services or activities. It brings the firm's legal structure in line with its core business activities and closer to issues that may affect many of its clients in the future. The partners of the previous structure have become equal shareholders in the new company, which remains an independent law firm dedicated to providing client-oriented advice and services in legal and tax matters, with particular expertise in international corporate transactions, financial services, insurance, tax, and dispute prevention and resolution services. The company will continue to act as a single legal entity, with fully integrated teams and offices in Zurich and Geneva.

We look forward to continue working with our clients and colleagues and to expanding and deepening our expertise over the long term under this new structure.
